
The vinyasa flow style of yoga is a powerful and dynamic system that combines asana (posture), pranayama (breathing), and meditation. This combination is accomplished through a step by step
progression with a beginning, middle, and end. The asanas are connected through the prana
(breath) allowing the body to create heat, which leads to increased flexibility throughout
the yoga practice. Vinyasa based yoga integrates alignment and intuition, strength and fluidity,
meditation and wisdom... in action. Please practice on an empty stomach.
Basics
Appropriate for the beginning or first time
student. This class focuses on familiarizing the student with the basics of
yoga. Poses are taught with detailed instruction
toward proper alignment.
Beginner Flow
A great introduction to the flow style of yoga. Slow, gentle paced class with detailed instruction.
Geared toward moving the student through the poses dynamically with breath.
Level 1-2
For beginning and intermediate students.
Focus on correct alignment and breathing with emphasis on strength, stamina
and flexability.
Flow 1-2
(Beginning/Intermediate)
This class is designed to take students to the intermediate level. Building strength, stamina,
and flexibility while still providing thorough instruction. Deeper backbends
and challenging variations will be introduced.
All Levels
For intermediate and advance students.
Challenging postures, variations and sequences are introduced. Yoga
experience necessary.
Flow 2-3
(Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is vigorous and challenging. Taught in the flow style, the class
creates heat and sweat. It builds further strength, stamina, and moves you
into deeper levels of flexibility and endurance. Advanced backbends, arm balances,
and inversions.
Music Flow (Level
2-3)
A masterfully creative yoga flow class that combines rare and eclectic,
hypnotic and mind altering fusion of music intelligently intertwined with
select yoga postures. The result is a beautifully choreographed
continuous dynamic sequence that radiates with strength, fluidity, and
grace.
Chappell brings a light heartiness to his class that bestows an ambiance
of high energy, fun, and sweat. While the experience is profound, it
will completely transform your state of being, leaving you overflowing with
ecstasy and expanded in bliss.
Restoratives
Appropriate for students of all levels. This class
focuses on floor postures that support deeper relaxation, tension and stress
management with the accompaniment of beautiful, melodic music. The
restorative class is a remedy for our fast pace daily lives.
Yin Yoga
This class is designed to move you deeper into your body. Yin yoga is static in nature, the poses are held for a longer period of time. Due to this, it stretches and opens the body beyond the muscles into the connective tissue, allowing for a deep experience.
Qi Gong
An ancient Chinese discipline used for healing, enhancing
the body's energy flow, reducing stress and improving general well-being.
Breathing and visualization techniques are used to clear the mind and heal
emotional damage (Please sign up directly with Dr. Kim on Saturday morning).
